Lake Tahoe

Lake Tahoe has got to be one of the most scenic places in America, with mountains surrounding all sides of the lake. While I was there I took the time to study the different trees in the area, and there is no shortage of beautiful trees in Lake Tahoe! There are different kinds of pine, fir, cedar, juniper, maple, and spruce trees. I even saw a Giant Sequoia, though it was not so much a giant, but rather a young Giant.

Pines in the area include the Sugar Pine, Lodgepole Pine, Jeffrey Pine, Ponderosa Pine; firs include White and Red Firs, and maybe some Douglas Firs; other notables are the Incense Cedar, Quaking Aspen, and the Sierra Juniper.

The things to do in Lake Tahoe are numerous, with plenty of activities for the whole family. The hiking trails are fantastic, though parking can be difficult to come by. We took a boat from one side of the other to Emerald Bay, which I’d recommend one hundred percent!
