Yosemite
Yosemite National Park in California may just be the most astounding place in all of America. With magnificent and phenomenal scenery in all directions, it is no wonder why so many tourists from all around the world come here every year. As the snowfall on the mountaintops or glaciers melts, the water flows downward toward the valley, creating waterfalls and rivers that seem to be all around. Granitic rock formations jut out into the sky creating remarkable views. The many hiking trails offer visitors the chance to hike both in the flat valley and in the steep mountains.
These photos are from a summer visit, and the water levels were much lower than what I remember when I visited 10 years ago (2012/2013). And so even with the lower water levels, and with fewer waterfalls, the views were still extraordinary. I wish I could spend months here exploring all the different terrain.
